Angel Food Ministry

 

Each month our church purchases two boxes of food from Angel Food Ministry through our local sponsor, Lindale United Methodist Church. The boxes are distributed to a deserving family in each of two different local schools selected by the school counselor. Each month a different family within each school is chosen. The Angel Food box contains enough food to assist in  feeding  a family of four for a week and the cost of each box is $30. As you can see the cost is very competitive for the amount of food received.

 

Orders can be made by anyone wishing to purchase…there are no limiting income guidelines for who can participate and food stamps are welcomed.   As you will see there are varieties of options…from family packs to those for seniors living alone to afterschool packs for school children, as well as the more traditional meat and seafood varieties.

 

I would encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity if it would help you spread your family’s food budget a little further, or to share the flyer with others you know who might want to take advantage of cutting their grocery bill.
